When PG is not enough-what to use?

I had a detail this past weekend on a black Mercedes with some deep scratches and marring. I reached for PG and my yellow Lake country cutting pad on the rotary. I made 4-5 passes in some areas with so/so results. I decided to error on the side of caution after that and hit the area with milder polishes and finally waxed. When you guys run into situations like this what do you reach for?

The dusting was killing me with the PG as well.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Using PC or Rotary? If you are using PC then step up to rotary, if you are already using rotary then step up to wetsanding, and last resort is either repaint or "live" with it. Not everything can be corrected. :(

Rotary with all Menzerna polishes (PG, IP, and 106FF) and working up to 1500 rpm's. I mean the before and afters were night and day but thay car whipped me, and there was still some marring left in areas that I could not correct.

I had similar problem this weekend...I did a couple passes with SSR 2.5 Yellow LC and 1800 RPM's and wasn't getting the desired results

Where would I find these items....... Presta Black wool and Ultra Cutting Creme Regular, SIP or UCCL on a green wool pad.

Also when using a wool pad what speeds and do use them while working on plastic bumpers or around plastic trim-don't want to burn through anything.
