When do you like to work out?

how do ya like it?
i know that some of you guys here work out some, but at the same time you're busy with your normal lives. anyways, i was wondering, when do you enjoy to work out the most?


just this past weekend i tried working out in the mornings and i really liked that. i actually felt like i had more energy throughout the day and slept better (deeper) at night. also, my tennis went over really well. i was really striking that ball good. for me, it felt like a great start to my day. unfortunately, i can only do this on weekends unless i wake up at 4:30 to workout...... (i leave at 5:30)
 
In the morning. As a matter of fact I'll be there by 6 tomorrow morning. I'd like to get there at 5 but I know I'll never get up at that time.
 
We used to have team practice at 4:30am for swimming, weights then swim. It woke you up and felt great. The bad part is that if you over did it you were sore for the rest of the day. No more 700 lb leg lifts for me.
 
The concensus is mornings are best - basically you burn more calories all day (if your goal is to lose weight) and you put the longest span of time (with sleep in between) for your muscle fibers to repair.
Sleep it the best thing for muscle growth - it's when your natural HGH is released, the body repairs the muscle fibers that got stressed out during your work out etc.
 
hmmm, thanks groe, ill keep that in mind. maybe on the weekdays ill work out at night. just a question, i read somewhere that strenous exercise 2 hours before sleep may cause insominia....... is that true?
