They will never be better prepped than when they are brand new.

I don't think OptiCoat really has any serious competition in this application.
Enjoy.
gmblack3 said:I have Wolf's Rim Shield on my wheels. Clients are loving it as well. On my GMC truck wheels, I applied 2x of the Rim Shield a few months back. I have been using Megs Wheel Brightener straight and its not breaking down the Rim Shield. Beading is still insane.
If my new wheels for the BMW ever get here from Germany, they will too get 2x of Rim Shield.
Leadfootluke said:Bryan, I don't think I've ever disagreed with you [and I'm not really doing so right now], but even 845 still worked great after being hit with WB. I believe WB targets specific contamination and therefor won't entirely degrade the protection. In the case that I use WB, I usually follow up with an APC to neutralize and [because I work on older crappy DD's] to remove tar, stains, rubber, grease, etc.
But if I were to not use OC I would be using Rim Shield based off of the positive reviews and reports I have seen [as not everyone needs a permanent coating].

Shawn F. said:RaskyR1, I am assuming you are spraying Opti Coat with an airbrush on those wheels? If so, how does that application work compared to using the foam applicator? Does it even out nicely or do you go over it immediately with a microfiber?
I was thinking about doing the same thing but have not seen anyone mention it yet...
