Wheel sealant on my black rims...

This is my first thread here at Detail City and I've really been impressed with the Poorboy's products I've gotten so far (Bold N Bright, Natural Look, Trim Restorer, and have yet to try the blue Natty's I have... anxious to order S&W and S&G as well :mohawk ).

I saw a number of posts about the wheel sealant used on chrome, polished, and other "traditional" silver rims and was just wondering how the wheel sealant would perform on my painted black Bullitt rims. I was thinking about using either WG pre-wax polish or VM (the only "pre-wax" products I have right now...) as a base for the sealant. I know the WS is able to be used on any type of wheel, but I thought I'd see if anyone had any experience or input on using it on rims like mine. Thanks.

my question to you would be how much brake dust do you get? is it hard to get off?, can you even see brake dust on them?

if any of the answers are yes, then it'll make it easier to maintain for sure:)

Thanks for the quick response. :) The silver lip in particular likes to collect dirt from the roads during a rain storm. The more I think about it... the easier cleanups will help with something like S&W. I find I can use a waterless wash with all of these pop-up showers in PA... I wash my car one day and it rains two days later, even when rain isn't in the forecast. :wall

then definitely apply it...you will probably be able to use either S&W or just a light wash which ever you are doing and they will clean up with no effort.
