Wheel Brushes?

I personally am in love with the wheel woolies, they are a bit pricey but are very durable and do a great job getting every spot on the the wheel. The middle size brush is great for getting around the lug nuts

I keep hearing great reviews about wheel woolies. I'm going to have to give in one day and get them.

Thank you all for your responses. I am actually looking for a wheel brush like the Daytona but at a cheaper price. Long, flexible to get the backside of the wheels, etc. This is a hobby for me.

If I didn't have the Daytona's I would get the Woolies. They are not that expensive considering the build quality and the useful life.

There are a few cheaper alternatives in the link I provided you. :bigups

chemicalguys.com have a wheel brush called the raccoon brush at a special intro price. i have a couple and they are great for the price.

The best barrel brush IMO is the Race Glaze Extra Long Wheel Brush. Minimal product sling while cleaning and it fits between very tight calipers. Best $20 dollars spent!

For barrels, the woolies are great.

For wheel faces, I use the Mothers brush like PA Detailer.

For tight wheel wells, I end up using a sponge. It takes a lot of agitation to get the wells really clean. If you take a light and shine in a well, you really can see how dirty they really are when they look clean.

Last year I cleaned the wells with Tuff Shine Tire Cleaner and treated with a layer of Tire Foam. Now I just use Tire Foam at every wash and the wells are clean and deep, deep black.

P.S. I never drive my car in mud, or over gravel roads or parking lots.

If you are looking for all of the features of a Daytona
-feathered edges
-flexible tubing that will not break
-holds tons of water/solution

Then you really need to get the Daytona...

There are similar to models to the Daytona, but they lack one or more features. There are also similar models in blue that were designed to clean motorcycles. The have a reputation for breaking because the stem tends to snap.

The other option would be something similar to the Wheel Woolies.

For really cheap I got one of these for $2.98.

Microfiber mop head removable for washing, thin enough to fit between brake calipers/rotors and wheel:

It's supposed to be a dry duster, but I use it just like any other brush to wash my wheels with auto shampoo and water.

I've had it for a couple months and it's still in one piece and works very well.

I found this brush in the household cleaning aisle as Wal-Mart close to the brooms & mops. Diameter is smaller than the Daytona brushes but it's long & flexible and works OK. Costs less than $4
