What's your method on polishing PPF Film to the Edge

It's time consuming but I generally tape to the edge with 1/16+ overlap on the film and then do the film. Vice vesa, tape on the film with 1/16" overlap on the paint.

Remove tape and then very gently, get the gap in between.

Curious what your methods are....

chefwong- Just dealt with this on the Denali XL, which has quite a bit of PPF all over it (the Porsches/Audis/BMW just had little areas of factor PPF that were easy to work around).

That overlapped-edge taping is what I did when working on the surrounding paint and I don't expect to polish the PPF all that often.

When I polished the PPF itself, I didn't bother taping the edge, I just "worked off the edge" as best I could. Seemed to work OK, no polish buildup along the edge; whatever was there wiped right off with the other polish residue.

I just polish right over the edges, the residue doesn't seem to build up on the edge (I'm using a PC).

Now *claying* around these areas is another story. :(
