What's Your Favourite New Years Eve Movie

aka PEI Detail
Just wondering. I'm a fan of Forrest Gump. We watch it at the end of every holiday. Also "When Harry Met Sally" and "Sleepless in Seattle".

What about you?

I'm supposed to speak at a church on New Years Eve, and thought I'd show some good movie clips.

Happy Holidays

"Rudy", is the best inspirational movie around. Hard work and perserverance really paid off for this young fellow. His family never gave him a chance but in the end his team did. I watch it everytime that it is showed on TV.

Just had to add this on about "Rudy". When the team captain came into the coaches office and the Coach chided the captain about not giving up his jersey and to start acting like a captain. the captain answered with, "I thought I was". He then walked out leaving his jersey behind. Now that is inspirational!!!

I'll take it that my normal viewing of either "Twilight Zone" or "3 Stooges" marathons wouldn't fall into the cateory of inspirational.

Good luck with your speach... What topic are you planning on speaking on?

J, I'm not sure. Something about New Years. [smile]

I remember Rudy being inspirational; there's a new years scene or its just what you do?

It's kind of like Sound of Music and Christmas. Connection? Some feeling.

That's funny, I've never watched a movie on New Year's Eve. Thanksgiving we used to watch a movie after dinner (and we would all fall asleep :) ), but Christmas we celebrate Nochebuena (Dec. 24th) with the family. There's lots of food, talking and opening presents and then the midnight mass so there's really no time for movies. New Year's Eve, I usually vascilate between the spanish stations and Dick Clark's Rockin New Year's Eve. :)

I would say, "Rambo"...JK

Actually I like watching some of those marathons like twilight zone or something like that, then switch between all of the New Years shows on TV...but I always stay home on New Years eve.

When I was a kid, it was really fun...my mother would never buy us things like sodas and chips, but on New Years Eve, she would buy us that stuff. I remember we would sit by the fireplace with our chips, dip and sodas...it was the best.
