So I'm at the Friday night cruise-in this evening & I hear some guys complaining about the hood scoop on the 2010 Shelby GT 500. Evidently it lets water pour on the engine when it goes through a car wash. I'm thinking to myself "through a CAR WASH????" I won't even take my little beater work car through a car wash, much less a $48,000 Shelby!

Moral of the story... Just because you paid more for a junk car doesn't mean it’s built better than the less expensive junk lol IMO. No offense I used to own 4 mustangs last on 2003 Mach 1 putting about 850+ to the rear wheels. Loved the car but had the same problem! There's a small tube which drives the water away from the engine but with the right head wind and the water does get into or onto the engine. Now take into account the car is not moving to have that force push the water down the right path and you probably have what that guy is complaining about.

My neighbor is the same way. He has a 2010 Shelby convertible that he takes to the car wash weekly. But I will give him credit--at least he drives it daily vs keeping it a garage queen.

Sometimes more money than brains, but then again he traded in his 08 Shelby for this one!! He likes his Shelbys!!!!! Now in bad weather he brings out his STS.
