Whats the difference between Waterless Wash and Quick Detailers?

i would think the waterless wash would have more cleaners in it than a quick detail product. am i on the right track?



in between washes what would be better? the waterless wash or the quick detail? or do both products have their own place and just grab a bottle of each? use the waterless for bird bombs and the quick detail for pollen/dust?









in the winter i thought the waterless wash and some spray wax would be the way to go.

Waterless washes have a lot more cleaners, surfactants and lubricity than QDs. QDs should only be used on clean surfaces whereas waterless washes you can use on dust and regular grime. You just have to tweak the waterless used and MF towels used depending on how dirty the vehicle is. Using a QD on dust and dirt will only lead to swirling and marring. Pollen is very abrasive ... I'm not sure I'd use a waterless on that, a traditional wash would be best, IMO. During winter I used a rinseless wash and during the summer I use PB spray and wipe in between washes. S&W will take care of bird bombs just fine.
 
glad to know that budman about the PB's since i have a bottle on the way to use with claying. i definately plain on using it on doorjams , trunk lid..all the stuff reg washing wont hit
