What's GOOD???

Bop's Auto Wash & Detail
I've worked with a few; back to black and a "trim shine" product from AutoSmart. B2B I must say is a decent product and usually does the job well... on certain material. I've seen several other options and would like to know what's "good" in your opinion concerning "bringing back the black" on ALL of today's vehicles with new and different exterior trim and panels.

I appreciate all your answers :thewave:

In the past I used Dry Shine black trim restorer but sadly it's no longer available.
Most of the trim products do darken or blacken. I prefer the coating over dressing.

I've recently had good results with Solution Finish as it contains a black dye.
To increase the longevity I top it with a trim "coating" called DLux from Carpro.

After getting to know more about Solution Finish, I'm sure its a good product, but that guy won't ever get a dime of my money. Just sayin..

I really miss Dry Shine Trim Restorer. It had a black dye and hardened (within 5 minutes) like a coating. Hence the name Dry Shine.

I use Chemical Guys VRP with great results. I cut it 50/50 with Distilled water for interiors, tires. If something is extremely faded like the panel under your windshield wiper arms. I use it full strength. Let it sits for a good 15 minutes then buff out with a dry MF towel. Lasts months for me.
Once it fades on you you really have to keep up with treatments to try and recondition the plastic.

To "bring the black back" Solution Finish works. But any "gloss" or "dressed" look quickly fades. For a straight up dressing, Prima Infinity is the best in my book. It's polymer based and lasts. For any large or hard to reach places, I use an aerosol. I like this stuff:

It's much better than CG's B2B and it has a cool adjustable aerosol nozzle. It's also half the price.

However, for regular trim, nothing beats CarPro DLux. It's a coating that actually lasts. It still beading and going strong for me. I love it. No more dressing trim.

Just wondering why. I bought SF and thought it sucked. But eventually realized I was using it wrong. It works well on badly faded trim, but on regular trim it doesn't do much. It wont work like a dressing, just a restorer.
