I am a newb and I did the 3 steps over the weekend using the Maguires 3 step kit.

Now, I just found out that #3 is really not that durable and the worst you could put on the car. What do you recommend me do now? Should I buy a Carnauba wax to put on top of #3? I really don't want to redo the process again, since I did it all by hand.

the worst you could put on the car???? No way! #3 is great for your car. It is a pure polish that will feed the paint. It will not last long alone so top with a quality carnuba wax. Meg #26, Pinnicle Souveran, Natty's blue all good choices. You did the right thing. Something people totally neglect is to feed your paint with a glaze or polish. Meg. 3, 5, 7 all good. Zoom-Zoom

I think dudley is referring to the Deep Crystal Step 3 Wax.

Like Accumulator suggested in your other thread, I would top that with something durable like one of the Collinite waxes (476, 885, or 845). That will give you a lot of durability until you decide to try something different.

the third step is definatly not bad for your car. If your after durability I would look into the zaino system. G35stilez has a nice review of it. His and others findings share that it is good for 4-6 months. And thats just one coat. I used the original z5 on my mothers jeep 7 months ago and it still beads. It has been washed only 4-5 times since then and has only gotten one wipedown with z8.
