What would you charge for this contract

I was contacted by a Marriott resort today to be contracted to wash 15 company cars and 50 golf carts. The cars would be done on a bi-weekly basis which will include hand wash via ONR, vacuumed, winodws and dress the tires and wheel wells. For the golf carts they just want a quick wipe down so i was thinking ONR as a QD and I think this will be on a monthly basis. I have a meeting on Wednesday and they would like a quote. I have no idea what to quote this and this is where i need help. Normally i charge $35 for a basic wash but I was thinking about lowering the price to $25 per car since it is a lot of business. For the golf carts I was thinking $10-$15 since it will be just a quick wipe down. What are your opinions on this price?

I just started detailing a few months ago and have been detailing out of a 96 BMW 328 with most of my supplies are in the trunk and some in the back seat. I carry about 10 gallons of water in my trunk for my washes since I use ONR. I know for this job I will need much more than this so I plan to use a ford explorer and load a few buckets of water in it.

I know I will need some help on this so I plan to "hire" one or two of my buddies to help wash. I am thinking of paying them $20 per car and use the other $5 for supplies.

Any advice/ comments on this. It sure would help. My main motive in doing this would be putting my name out there to do some real detailing.

btw i do have a license but no insurance. I am sure they would want some type of insurance but that would not be a problem to get.

You will have to decide your cost + time + profit that you will need to make.

Also, I believe the golf carts will take more time than you think. That can be put through a lot of abuse. Hopefully you have eyeballed them already.

Stop thinking per car.

Think hours and supplies and labor.

Figure your hourly rate, probably $25-30.

If you work 10 hours, they pay you $250-300.

Simple actually.

I would guess there is at least 40 hours involved here. Do you really need a helper?

I agree with Jimmy on the hours. Plus find out how you will get the keys for the cars each time you go there. If they are all left at the front desk your good to go right away. If you have to chase down 10-15 people to get the keys for the cars this could add and hour or more to your day.

Plus take a look at all the cars and carts. Look at the condition and find out the last time they were done. This could give you can idea on how they are treated if they were done in the last month.

Well giving $20 to my help for each car they do was a bad idea. Maybe I should just find someone and pay them $10/hr if i need them.

What about using the ONR? Do you think this is efficient for doing 15 washes?

ONR for all cars...done in 20-30 minutes..thats 2-3 cars an housr...

3 cars an housr = 75 bucks...

pay friend a 10/hr....that leaves you making 65 per hour without lifting a finger....minus supplies....25cents...lol

not a bad way to go...plus if you help out....that is more in your pocket...
