I was wondering what you guys would do for a cleanup or something on a black trailblazer this time of the year in the north east. Im doing my regular vette tommorow just a wash and a vav, but he wants the trailblazer done to. I dont want to do a full detail, cause i figure i wait about 1 month or so till this snow clears. What would you guys do to it? I know the inside i can go over pretty well, but i dont think i want to clay and what not on the ouside. Im thinking number 80 and that is all.

hmm no, i bascially have a ton of poorboy stuff, klearkote, klasse, meguairs, etc. I guess i usually dont do really 1 step stuff, it is either full details or just the outside/inside. I dont even really like doing 1 step cause i know the car can improve, i guess this is the first time im ever doing a 1 step out of all the cars i did lol.

I disagree. If the vehicle was mine, I'd do a full detail, right now. Clay,buff swirls, the works. The full application of an acrylic polymer sealant will keep my paint fresh.
Why wait? I know it is not your car, but I'll bet you treat it that way!
In summary, the better the care, the better the car...
Trust me, overall, Indiana weather is comparable to that in the Northeast...

The protection in #80 isn't all that much, and this time of year I'd sure want something better. NO point in doing a job that might dissatisfy him. For what you're thinking, the #66 or something similar might be the best idea. You could always just top the #80 in a few minutes though.
FWIW, I seem to be claying a *lot* of ferrous contamination off these days. Maybe it's from the snowplows, but *man* is there a lot of it on our vehicles. It's all fresh too, I'm removing it from my LSPs (via very gentle claying) every week.

Just think, the more you do now, the less you have to do later. I plan on washing/claying/polishing my car up tomorrow until it gets dark out, then a quick application of AIO/SG or #26.

What does your customer want? If he wants a full blown detail, then do that for him.
I have customers who I feel spend money needlessly on full details when they already take excellent care of their cars. I asked one once why she wanted her car detailed when it always looked so good and she said because she wants her car to look like she just bought it all the time. Good enough for me!

WEll i went there today and I got a a nice present from my customer, he wanted all 3 of his vehciles done. So after spenind v day with my gf till 230 am, i then went to bed and woke up at 530am. Then i did a 04 vette inside and outside wash, o4 avalance whole inside extracting, dash, plastic etc full detail, then wash and glaze on the outside mist type glaze, and the whole interior detail of the trailerblazer and outside the same as avalance.
10 hours later im so damn tired, but payday was good. Ill post pics, these things were dirty.
