What wax best suites this need...

Hey guys, I'm getting the feeling that a liquid wax + PC is the quickest way to do a wax job on a car. This being said, I have NO experience with liquid waxes. Specifically, I'm looking for good, easy, quick. This would be for my lower end jobs (around $135). Any suggestions?

Edit: Totally forgot about #26... I assume that would be a good suggestion?

Ease of use, probably clearkote carnauba. Question though; why not go for an easy to use liquid sealant like Poorboys EX w/carnauba? That stuff looks good, lasts a bit longer than most waxes, and is stupid easy to use in almost any weather.

I'd say one of the CG Waxes/sealants would fit your needs. Not very durable, but good slickness and shine.

I'd vote for the Collinite 845. It's a liquid if/when you shake it long enough, and it doesn't stain trim so you can be pretty sloppy when applying it without any problems. And the beading will really impress customers, they'll think they got a good wax job for the price.

Back when we had the dealership we used Malm's liquid, but that was back when they sold it in gallons. *I* liked it better than #26 but after all these years I can't tell you why.

I'm gonna read up on this, thanks Picus :)

So I guess its between collinite 845 and Clearkote carnauba moose wax

Don't forget about Meguiar's 26 yellow liquid. It's a high quality wax at a good price. I choose CMW myself, for looks, the 26 or CMW are usually preferred over the 845.

Jeez, so many contradicting suggestions, I'll wait to hear a bit more till I bite. Thank you all for your input thus far :)

there's litle contradiction, besides its a stinkin wax, they all look about the same. just buy the 845 or CMW and be done with it. Silk recommended some all in one products, forget what he said, those won't help you, and the FMJ is not what you want either, there are far better sealants on the market. Z5 pro however, is a great sealant, but you seem to want a wax, and for that, the choice is easy. Especially if you want a liquid.

On sale right now. ClearKote Carnuba Moose Wax 16oz.

Danase has the 845 and you get a 10% discount for being a forum member.

Collinite Insulator Wax (No. 845)

Um, nothing could be easier to use than 845...(except the fact you have to constantly shake the bottle). I have AJT on my paint now and 845 on wheels but soon the 845 will go on paint.

Listen, people will keep suggesting different things. You have to just bite the bullet and try something without too much hesistation. I have wayyyyy too many products (not by autopian standards, but my family standards, they think I'm crazy, literally) and too much money spent thanks to this forum

The suggestions will drive you nuts if you don't just get out there and try something.

I throw my hat in for 845 also.

Looks good ,durable, very economical( a few drops cover an entire car),

easy to use ,won't stain trim (I even use it to seal rubber trim on windows and such)

and ,like Accumulator said, it beads like MAD.

...just my 2 cents....

Are you looking for a PC applicable wax as the last step of a full detailing process or as the only step in the detailing process?
