What to use with Poorboys clay?

Hi folks, before I start experimenting, I thought I'd ask for some opinions on what to use as a lube with Poorboys clay. I guess I could use...

QW+ if there is no need for a subsequent polishing step and I want to add protection as I go

or

spray n wipe if a subsequent polishing step will be required

or

spray n gloss? (will this be any different to using spray n wipe?)

Thanks in advance for any thoughts and suggestions,

Rich

Spray & Wipe or Spray & Gloss are the one's you'll want to use, QD+ is a completely different animal. I've used both and S&W is great if you didn't clean as thoroughly as you would have liked.

Thanks for your thoughts - my thought with QW+ was along the lines of the OCW and Opti-clay combo, which cleans and adds protection in the process.

If I understand you correctly you want to use a good lubricant to clay that'll also leave some protection at the same time. Remember the clay will leave some residue or streaking so you'll have to go over each panel a second time with your spray anyway. So you can't clay and protect in one step.

i like to use car wash soap as a lube for my clay . It works just as good and is cheaper. Save your QD and SW's for better purposes..

SW will give you a little more cleaning power to go along with the clay. Poorboy recommended this to me a long time ago.

Yes, we stock clay (elastic 4oz bars) but we don't advertise it anymore.

I also suggest using diluted Spray and Wipe (50:50) with it so you don't have to go back and wash the vehicle again. Just wipe it off and you're done:yes:

That a good idea....
