what to use to remove polish

Sometimes IPA doesn't play nice with some polishes, so it might be a wet MF then IPA if needed.

I usually ONR a car after I polish it. Gets all the crap off the paint without additional marring that clumped up polish (from cracks, etc) can cause.

removing abrasive polish residue

I use Meguiar's #34 as it makes it easier to remove the residue without marring the paint.

If an IPA/etc. wipedown is called for, well, OK, but that's a different approach that's employed for different reasons.

I was reffering to Menzerna polish removal after polishing

OK, the Menzerna should be broken down to something basically nonabrasive, so it's probably not all that critical what you use.

But *I'd* still use Meg's #34. I just like using something made to clean safely better than using something with zero lubricity that's not really made for cleaning. So I'd use #34 and then follow up with IPA/PrepWash as necessary.

But most of the time my compound/polish residues buff off just fine without using anything other than a plush, dry MF.
