What to use on scratched/discolored black plastic kick panel?

I have a nasty whitish gray scuff obviously from one of the clowns at the dealership on the driver's side footwell near the rounded edge by the driver's side door. I cannot get it out, but so far all I have tried is Poorboy's Trim Restore. It has cleaning agents in it so I thought that if it was only dirty, this would take care of it. It didn't even make a dent in the mark. Unfortunately, it seems the plastic on the kickpanel is either scuffed or somehow discolored where contact was made with the shoe. Is there a product that will clean this up?

Try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I think that might work.

Magic Eraser might work if it's light enough. Otherwise you might need to use a heat gun on it, and _gently_ heat it up until the mark disappears.

Ah yes, I didn't think of the Magic Eraser, good idea. The heat gun idea I'll have to think about a little more :chuckle:

Didn't occur to me last night, but I've tried one of those leather/vinyl repair kits off ebay. It'll dye the trim, and if you get the color mix right, will look really good. Try a lighter shade first and gradually darken until you get it right.

Definitely a lot safer than the heat gun method.
