What to use on plastic honeycomb

We had a nice weekend here - nice for Michigan, anyway, in the 50's - so I decided to get my MS3 ready for the winter. I put on a nice coat of Collinite 476S, and that stuff is pretty cool. It's got a nice shine, and protects awesome from what I hear. It does tend to powder up some, but nothing unreasonable about it. My question is about the gray honeycomb on the front and rear bumper: I read that Collinite is fine for those, but would like to hear from some people who've actually used it on plastic before I go ahead with it. Should I apply it like on the paint - apply, let dry, remove, or should I put it on and wipe it off soon after so it doesn't dry white? Is there anything else recommended for heavy-duty protection of those areas? Thanks for any and all replies.
