What to use on new (painted) wheels?

I'm picking up a set of SS wheels either Friday or Sunday. They're painted silver. What should I use on these to keep them clean? My brake dust situation is somewhat a pain in the ***. I plan on washing/claying and Z5'ing them, but what should I use to clean them weekly? I have some Castrol super clean wheel cleaner, but it has acids in it so I don't know how safe it is....I really want these wheels to last awhile and look great unlike my stock ones which have a gone-to-**** clear coat. So, what's safe to clean them?

TIA

Matt

If you clean them well and put a reputable sealant on them, then washing weekly with wash soap and a mitt should suffice. It will help if you qd regularly (I do the Jeep every time I take her out). The qd will prolong the effects of the sealant. I wouldn't use a dedicated wheel cleaner too often. If you prep well, you won't need to:up

I must agree with Thinksnow:xyxthumbs but if you want a safe wheel cleaner , one of the best is P21S Wheel cleaner.

Like thinksnow said with weekly cleaning you should not need it :wavey

Use either Z-5 or Z-2 with ZFX. I'd assume they have no scratches or swirl marks, so Z-2 would be appropriate. Then, if you're a Zaino person, when you wash the car with Z-7, wash the wheels also. Gloss the car and wheels with Z-6 when you are finished. Regardless of which sealant you use, weekly washing and using a gloss will prolong the life of the sealant.

Thanks guys...I'm gonna do a coat of Glanz wax on them, and yes, I am a Zaino person and wash with Z7 weekly and Z6 often, so I'll use that stuff on the wheels too.

Thanks again,

I'm kinda lazy....i just use APC+ dilluted heavily....then clean the wheels really often.....it's not that harsh on the clear coat and if I do it regularly i never need to go to anything strong......but if I only use soap and water it isn't strong enough to clean the insides....with APC+ I can spray a little in the wheel wells+tires+insides of wheels.....it just works easier for me that way...

I do wax them for car shows tho.....i'll take some AIO and get them as clean as possible then throw some SG on it and they really shine at shows.....
