What to use on Black Acura Leather?

I'm in the process of detailing my Acura TSX, and one area of concern in the interior is the drivers seat. I bought the car with only 2000 miles, but the left side of the seat is beginning to get very supple. Sadly, it's on its way to being like most other Honda/Acura leather seat out there.

I need help reconditioning this seat and preventing it from cracking. It looks like it's a bit dirty, you can see the dust in the crevices. So I'm assuming I need to use a leather cleaner first right?

Then of course, I need a conditioner. I'm concerned about the long term life of the seat. I'd like to preserve the material and prevent cracking for as long as possible. And of course, i would like to prevent the dreaded seat rips on the left side near the lumbar support. Big problem is that my car is a daily driver.

Anyway, what should I use? Leatherique? Zaino? Wolfgang? Or will Lexol do the job? I'm looking for quality and durability without the cost of those $100 kits on Autogeek.

Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

I feel your Acura leather pain. -While Honda can build a motor that will last into the 31st century, they certainly skimp out on the leather- The new is way better than the old though. ----Think Acura Integra leather ----

All my precious hondas ended up having terrible leather. I think half of the problem was that I never conditioned them, but the quality of the "leather" wasn't that great either.

What would be better? The zaino two step or the leatherique? I don't know whether or not the leatherique is worth $50 for both bottles.

I've used a few products, and definitely the thing I noticed first is that "most" Japanese leather seats are softer than "most" German counterparts.

Leatherique--Found to be useful for really thrashed seats, but quite a process

Adams Leather Cleaner--Sprayable, not murderous on any leather I've tried it on, wipes very clean. Follow up with conditioner.

Adams Leather Conditioner--Thicker, lotion like. Easy to apply, dries quickly, with very little sheen. Does not wipe off on clothes afterwards. Also has SPF 65!

Poorboy's Leatherstuff--Another good choice. A little more sheen than the Adams.

Zaino--Great product, but didn't think it was worth the price.

Lexol---won't use again

Connolly Leather--Have not tried

With Leatherique, you don't HAVE to use both parts if the leather is already in pretty good condition. As a matter of fact, Leatherique Prestine Clean is a bit of an all-in-one for leather (pH correct cleaner and conditioner all in one). It is perfect for regular maintenance of leather, vinyl, and rubber (door and window seals) to keep it truly clean and lightly nourished.

I have black Acura leather in my TL-S...I use Prestine Clean for general maintenance, and use it on my customers' cars as well.

I am not sure how you guys are determining that the Honda leather is bad? Is the leather bad or the coating? My father has a 2005 Accord coupe that is garage kept. The leather is in great condition. It looks and feels better than a lot of the leather I see in domestic cars. Of course, this is really a coating issue and not a leather issue.

I use Zaino Z10 in my TL... after the first application, I was like "hmm this stuff smells great but eh". I followed their recommendation and reapplied after a couple weeks and WOW I was convinced.

Z10 isn't even that expensive for the amount you need to use.

I haven't used their leather cleaner though.
