What to use after PB SSR 2

A friend stopped by with his red vw golf and the finish was swirled, water marked, and scracthed pretty good, I tried SSR 2 with a pc and polishing pad, but was afraid to use the cutting pad. It really didn't touch the defects, but it did make it red again. I didn't use the cutting pad because I don't have a less ag. polish to use after it.

I don't do many cars that are this bad, any suggestions on the next product(s) to try on it. I was thinking of DACP / then swirl free polish.

Or is there a better two step polish combo for poor finishes?

Thanks Ernie

You can use a cutting pad with SSR2, then follow up with a polishing pad to remove any hazing if there is some present.

Yep. SSR2 is made to break down so fine that you can go right to a lsp (as long as you aren't using a cutting pad), so go ahead and try it. I've even used a light cut pad with SSR2.5 and it came out smooth and clear. A med. or courser likely would need to be stepper down.

If you've already got the Meg's SFP, you could use that after the 2.0 if you were so inclined.

If you're looking to buy a 2 step, I'd recommend SSR2.5 and PWC. If you're willing to go 2 steps of polish followed by a LSP, I'd go with SSR2.5 and SSR1.

Just some thoughts. I've heard good things about 1Z, but I got the mild stuff (MP and Glanz), so I can't say much on their polishes.
