what to look out for when buying a used PC?

I'm purchasing a used PC this weekend. The person is selling it for only $50 and I'm a little weary since it costs $150 new. The person selling says it's in very good condition. If you vets were purchasing a used PC what would you look out for? The only thing I'm looking out for right now is if it looks beatup or not. Should I check anything else? Thanks in advance.
 
Well, I've used mine pretty hard for the last couple years and it still works fine. I guess how well its been taken care of could be an issue. But, hey... for $50 bucks you can't go wrong. Hopefully it comes with a backing plate and everything so you can start using it right away. Which model is it? The 7424 or 7336?
 
7424 with the 6" counterweight.

That's what he advertised it as. I hope it comes with the velcro backplate. But yeah, I guess this is a steal. I just hope it's in good condition :D
