ok i have the foamgun but as war as actually wiping the car down should i use sea sponge, sheepskin mit or a micro-chenile mit

It really is a personal preference and I like the sheepskin mitt better. I don't wipe the car directly after using the foam gun but still use two buckets, one for wash and one for rinse, along with a grit guard.



So the foam gun doesn't really speed anything up or replace my wash/rinse buckets and sheepskin mitt, it's just another step towards safer washing.

but use what ever works for you with out causing swirls that all that matters

It really is personal preference and my favorite is a good sheepskin mitt. I also use sea sponges, BHB (boars hair brush), and GS (grout sponge), but the one I reach for the most is a sheepskin mitt.

I have a Honda (soft paint), and use a sheepskin mitt. I polish it lightly once a year, and have minimal marring (wash induced).
