What to follow Mequiar's Diamond Cut on hard paint?

I been working on hard paint and found that Diamond cut with LC orange pad knocks down the swirls and the other marring. I could have used the wool pad, but the foam pad and a high speed rotary is the only way to go in this situation. Looks very nice and clear, but I haven't taken it outside to check holograms. I am sure there will be holograms, but I am wondering at this point what should I follow this up with, on a DA?

I am posting this question because I am not used to working with such hard paint and will I be wasting my time and product with anything that will not make a dent?

When dealing with things like holograms on hard paint, I never step down too far. I'd expect to use M105/orange (on a RO/DA) as the first post-rotary step.

I'd agree with that.

I've found M85 Diamond Cut can finish out near wax ready on hard paint, even with rotary/wool (assuming you work it down properly, it's a diminishing abrasive compound). So any very light holograms remaining shouldn't be difficult to remove.

I'd use a DA to avoid of the chance adding new holograms.

I'd never use foam to correct hard paint - surbuf, leather and rayon pads are the best for hard paints. They can take out a little, some or alot of peel with a DA in a couple minutes or even less and finish out flawless
