What to do with this?

This is my dads Toyota Rav4. Well a while back someone opened their door obviously really hard on his side pannel. As you can see it's pretty bad. What if anything can I do to fix this? Wet sanding? Any help would be appreciated.

IMHO if you wetsand and polish it may make it look worse. I'd take it to a bodyshop and have it repainted. :think2

I'd try touchup paint and see how if you're satisfied with the end result. If not, you'd be looking at repainting the panel.

It p*sses me off every time I see pictures like this. People are so careless and selfish sometimes.

Ok. First hit it with some polish and a PC and see what happens.

Wetsanding metalflake is a pain, and you'll risk flattening the metalflake all around the repair. Best left to a pro.

Looking at the pics I'm thinking you can minimize the damage with polish and a PC. If you want perfection you're looking at respaying that piece of of trim.
