What to do with left-overs from the retail market?

As some of you saw in the "What's you first detailing memory?" thread I'm still kind of new the world of high quality products found here at Autopia. So here's my invitation for advise, opinion and a lively debate:
What should I do with my left-over products from when I bought my stuff in retail/auto parts stores? Stuff like Armor All, Turtle Wax, Blue Coral and Rain-X? For the most part what's left is wash and wax products. So, are these good enough to use on a truck that I'll never show? Are they bad enough to throw out right away? Or something else?

Donate tham to a kid down the block with his first car:cool: He may or may not use them and if he does he's probably just learning and will waste most of it.

Actually I cleaned out my stuff last summer and sent it home with the neighbor. We were both happy.

But don't be fooled some OTC stuff is actually good and has a place. As an example you can dilute the Armour All 50/50 and use it for a wheel well dressing.

You can send them to me. I will find them a good home. ;)

I'm sure some of your stuff is good enough to use. Some items I use regularly are available at Walmart. I'm not a fan of Armorall, but some of the wash n wax products might be used with little or no harm. Heck, donate them to a fundraiser car wash next time you see one in town.

I like that idea.

I still use some OTC products. Just because you can buy it online doesnt make it great. Heck AG and ACC both sell Meg's products that you can but OTC. I personally would use them up as I hate to waste money.

Dear Jrew & Friends

Get rid of Rain-X? What's better than Rain-X for being able to drive down the road in a storm and not even turn on the wipers?

I'm not being snide. I'm just new and don't know a better water repellant.

I've given away and continue to give away products that I find less impressive or problematic. I've given several to my son-in-law and a few to his brothers. They use them are are thrilled.....:bigups
