What to cover in engine bay before wash?

Attached is an older pic I hv of my engine bay. I have dressed it up a little more since then.



Exactly what areas do I need to cover (foil, plastic, etc.) before I do a wash?



I plan to use my GG engine cleaner, QD, 303 and maybe some black again.



If my metro blaster blower comes today, I might get to it.

All the wires, alternator, spark plug boots, electrical connectors, in short, anything that you think could potentially be damaged by water. I would use foil, the water should roll off it.

I cover plug connections, the alternator and battery connections with plastic baggies but foil will work better since it forms to parts easier.
