What should I use for a Red Dodge Stealth - Single Stage Paint

Hello,

Next weeks project is going to be a 1991 Dodge stealth with heavy oxidation and marring. Body is in good shape, and with the exception of a few chips all the scratches are in the paint. I already hit the hood with a Heavy Foam cutting pad and some 4STAR LLC followed by SMR, then a little RMG, and Collonite 845. Paint came up soaking wet but even after using LLC with a heavy cut pad the scratches were still in the paint. As far as i can tell this is a single stage, because it left my pads red. I was considering wet sanding a few areas with 1500; just a couple small areas. But after I found I could not get the marring out of the paint as it is, I decided against it. What do you guys suggest for a single stage with heavy marring and scratches,....

Wool pads for sure. I would suggest Presta UCCL and their green wool pad. Megs #80 is an awesome followup, but 4s SMR and RMG would also work. Your pad will cake up with dead paint - keep spurring it with a key or screwdriver and resist the temptation to wash it.
