what should I tape

I just got my new Udm with some Menzerna Sip/106ff and i'm wondering what I should tape on my car. I searched the forum and I found different opinions about what to tape. I read where some people tape and some people don't. Since i'm not sure and I don't want to mess anything up I figure i'd ask before I mess something up .

Here is a link or the car i'm going to polish

I figure i'd tape the following :

windshield washer nozzles

the base around the antenna

the black around the windshield and the windows

the chrome grill,

tail lights, headlight

badging

the roof rack

the textured black on the back bumper

door handles? (i'm not sure on this one)

what about the tan plastic trim under the white? See where the tan part meets the white, and how it sticks out a little. How would I polish that area? Do I need to tape the crease so the pad doesn't rub the tan.

Do you think all that taping is necessary? What needs to taped? What doesn't need to be taped?

Think of WHY something needs to be taped. You tape something up so when youre spinning polish at high speeds, you won't get any of it worked into a none painted surface.

basically, tape everything up that sits right next to paint where you think polish would be able to rub on that isnt suppose to be on.

Would I have to be careful and tape the tan painted plastic trim thats over the wheels? Would the edge of the pad dig into the plastic trim when i'm polishing the white panel? I'm going to using the 5.5" ccs pads with the Udm if that makes a difference.

Sorry for the dumb noobie questions. I just want to make sure so I don't mess anything up.
