I had my hood re-painted about a month ago, i know your suppose to wait 90 days before waxing....but winter is just about upon us and i dont want my virgin paint to have no protection, what should i do? Thanks

You can go ahead and wax it, the solvents have evaporated long ago. Todays Polyurethane enamels cure much fster than the older Polyurethanes.

I just had half my car painted and got it back last week. What Andre said is exactly what my painter said also. He told me not to wait and to get something on it asap.

If you've waited a month, you are fine.

My body shop guy told me to wait 30 days or until the paint does not bead any longer (leaves that ugly sheet of water that just sits on ur paint). Usually 30 days is up first. In my case though, the paint did the ugly sheeting thing in about 20 days.
