What QD has the best cleaning ability without compromising shine? I not talking about ONR's, I am talking detailer sprays. I like MG Final Touch. What about you? Thanks

I suppose a lot of people are going to recommend Duragloss Fast Clean & Shine. Haven't used it myself, but a lot of people love it.

He's correct. FC&S works very well. Have used Meguiars UQD, DP 4-1 and FC&S INMO really outpaces the others and the anti-static properties have lessened dust accumulation very well.

I use the #521 marine version of FC&S. Ramped up cleaning, shining and slickness over the 921...

I'm partial to Duragloss FC&S and Werkstatt Quick Wash.

The Duragloss product is an excellent cleaner and also seems to leave behind a little gloss/shine. The Werkstatt Quick Wash, on the other hand, is pure cleaner - it probably does a bit better job of cleaning than the Duragloss but doesn't leave any kind of gloss enhancement behind.

I am going to say the DG Marine Detailer....I just started using it a month ago..I have been using FC&S for a few years...the Marine detailer is better..cleans better...gives a great gloss and anti static is good....and slick as all hell....more so then FC&S....

I talked to DG on the Marine products and was told they are all tweaked versions of the car products....little more of everything...

I like FK 425 for its anti-static properties and its shine. Really never used it on a dirty car so can not attest to its cleaning abilities. Mothers has a nice QD as well. The Megs is ok too but its not as nice as the Mothers or FK in the shine department. I really only use my Fk 425 in between weekly washes to just get rid of occasional bird bombs. It is just as easy to wash the car for me as to go around with a QD.

I really like Zaino Z6 and Z8 very much. I use Z8 all the time.

I often use Wizard's Mist N Shine on wheels, door jambs, etc.

Do you feel like it does not affect the shine??? In general I beleive QEW - ONR do not add to the shine or gloss.

QEW diluted in water. About 3-4 cap fulls in 32oz is a great cost effective cleaning QD that leaves behind a slick and glossy finish.

Al,

have you tried PB S&W? any comparison with the DG marine detailer (521 is it?) in terms of cleaning ability? FC&S lacks in this...and since S&W is a bit pricey....

I have S&W..its more of a waterless type wash product....FC&S is not a waterless wash..its a QD with limited cleaning abilities...it will not tackle heavy dirt like S&W ..its mostly for lighter stuff...dust..bird bombs...water spots...sap..fingerprints.....but S&W does not add to the gloss or slickness like FC&S....I think ONR mixed to a QD is better than S&W...

the Marine is a bit stonger cleaner..but will not harm the finish either...but again..not a waterless wash....also slicker and glossier than FC&S...and S&W

Thanks Al,

yeah I use both S&W and FC&S a lot, and was looking for something cheaper, and 521 came up :)

I'll try some...thanks.

ONR 6:1 dilution doesn't seem to have the cleaning ability like S&W..

Al, how do you use ONR as a QD?

I use about 3oz's in a 32 oz bottle...works very good for me...I can do a what S&W does or close too it...not mud and stuff..but heavy road grime...
