What product do you use to wax cars faster ?

Foam pad or LC gold pad. I think time is reduced by the wax used (easier spreading, coverage etc.) for example FK1000p takes more time than S100 concours for me for the same applicator. If using a pad, then a velcro pad holder I find helps quicker and more even application.

+1 on OS since you do not need a *real* wipe off. It has been my LSP for the last application exactly for that reason.

If I'm in a hurry, OCW or Optiseal by hand. 5 minutes and you are done.

:werd: there are plenty of durable LSPs available that are designed for fast application. OCW and OS are both excellent choices.

What product do you guys use ? and how do wax with machine or by hand ? Im just curious to see how you guys get your waxing faster

Frank, if you are looking out and trying to plan long-term, there's no better investment than a Porter-Cable or equiv. Nothing will provide a bigger benefit.

While I generally prefer to apply waxes via machine (specifically, Cyclo), I can never get my sealants properly thin unless I do it by hand. But hey..the Q is about *speed*, right?

By the time I get out the polisher, mount the pads, let alone put it away afterwards, I can have most of a vehicle done by hand. And moving a machine doesn't make the application go all that much faster for me than just moving an applicator. When I'm pressed for time, I do it by hand.

I think it was Scottwax who once challenged somebody to use a machine and try to beat him LSPing, and Scott won.

Otherwise a DA machine will get you good coverage fast, while minimizing product use as long as the correct pad is chosen to prevent absorption on it.

Optiseal, and you can get "careless" with it and get it all over glass, trim, rubber strips etc.. with no worries.

That's something I like about many of my LSPs :xyxthumbs

another question to go along with it...what about your hands/arms...I would rather use a machine across the board!

collinite 845 is pretty fast without needing a cure time

OCW is a great spray wax for timely applications

If I am in a hurry, BWFD topped with CG butter wet wax applied with DA.... they both apply quickly and easily and wipe off just as easily...not to mention giving pretty good durability and superb looks.

What do you guys think about the Meguirs spray waxes for example Meguirs Ultimate Quick Wax, what do you guys think of this one over that opti-seal wax?

Meguiar's quik wax is a fantastic product. But I would imagine Optiseal might protect better and last longer but MQW is awesome.

OCW is awesome as well as Eric mentioned. You can basically just throw on 2 or 3 coats in just a few minutes and not worry about getting it on trim or glass.
