What pad to use

I've got two vehicles to detail this weekend. One being a '96 Camry and the other an '01 ML320. I recently acquired a PC and yellow, white and grey VC pads from Lake County. My concern, the Camry has extensive swirling and I am not really hesitant in using the yellow pad with the meguiar deep crystal cleaner, polish and #20 sealant. As for the Benzo, the swirling is not as extensive but enough to notice. I am a little hesitant in using the yellow pad on the truck 1) merely for not having used it before and 2) for fear that I might worsen the swirling.



Everything I've read would indicate that the cleaner and yellow pad is not all that aggressive, any thoughts as to how I should progress with the truck.

If you're that concerned, I'd go with the less agressive combo first and increase as needed. Haven't used Meg's Deep Crystal, so I can't comment on the product.



FWIW, I used a Lake Country white pad with Pinnacle Paint Cleaner on my '03 Acura to get rid of some mild oxidation and water spots earlier this year with no problems. It was my first PC usage.



You didn't mention clay, I hope you plan to clay (if needed). If you don't clay and need too, I'd be more concerned with not claying than using a yellow pad.
