Now I'm to the PwC part before finishing with EX. I don't remember what pad I'm supposed to use with PwC. Is it a polishing pad or a finishing pad? I will use the finishing with the EX, of course.

BTW, I'm 6 hours into this. I don't remember it taking so long. I must be getting slow in my old age.

In my confused version of logic, I use polishing pads for polishes.
For me, that means Poorboy's Polish with Carnauba gets a polishing pad.
The only time I use a finishing pad is with my wax or sealant.

Yeah, I have that logic too. But I seem to remember some recommendations last year for using a finishing pad for "extra gloss".

Anyways, I used the polishing pad and will EX it tomorrow.

Yep, if you want to get more "polishing/cleaning" out of the PWC....... use the polishing pad. If you want to be slightly less aggressive with it, use the finishing pad, or do it by hand.

When doing a quick $40 wash and wax I love to use a yellow cutting pad for extra polishing. Yes these are slightly " abused " vehicles. I get great results with PwC and yellow LC pad at 5k . Does anybody else do this? It works well for marring and small suface blemishes..
