Guys,

What # level of of cut, does Mother's Power Polish fall under in this chart.

http://dano.pocketrubbish.com/detailing/productchart.htm

I mean can I use MPP as my light polish on a polishing pad after hazing with SSR2.5 or is it still to abrasive??

Thank Youuuuuu! :)

It will finish down quite nicely, but IMO it is too close to 2.5 to be used directly after it. I would find something a bit milder to follow the 2.5. IMO, the MPP would almost be interchangable with the 2.5, though the 2.5 is IMO a *tiny* bit more aggressive.

If I can piggyback here. Have you or anyone used it on paint that was on the warm side?

I used it on warm paint and while it didn't make it too hard to remove it dusted like crazy. The product seems to dust in an "above average" manner without a warm panel, but the warm conditions must have put it over the top. :grinno:

edit** I should have stated that both times I used the product I applied it via cyclo with orange pads. The temps were in the high 90's with humidity around 60%. It was hot!!

Thanx for the reply ebpcivicsi,

One more question but its off topic.

Can I use Mothers Showtime QD as a spritzing QD to mositen the pad while Polishing. I heard it has carnauba in it & i don't know if that messes up the polish or what not.

Anyone, please do share your thoughts.

Sorry Sir, Showtime doesn't have carnauba according to Forrest of MOTHERS. Check out the thread below:

from what I read in that thread Forrest doesn't say that Showtime doesn't contain carnauba but rather that the carnauba content of most QD's is so small to essentially be a marketing gimmick.

It is as mild or as strong as your pad. With an orange or yellow pad it would be a 6 in that scale (#83 / SSR 2.5 territory). With a green / white polishing pad is about 4 (#80, machine glaze) and with a blue light polish pad it is about 2. Very versatile and very very easy to use. :up :woot:
