What is your favorite combo for deep scratches?

I wanted to see what works well for you guys for some heavy scratch correction, using the rotary (makita).

3M rubbing compound + wool?

Meguiar's Ultimate compound + wool or foam?

Menzerna SIP or IP + wool or foam?

Lake Country Purple Foamed Wool pad?

I hate the dusting part of using some of the wool + compound, and the foam pads doesn't seem to cut well, especially on hard clear.

Any good combos with +/- would be great!

For heavy cutting I use the black edge wool pad and either 105 or Danase swirl abolisher II. Both seem to be right on the money for what I need to get done.

I'm a Meg's guy, #85 diamond cut with white wool, then #85 with yellow wool, then maybe #83 dual action with black foam ,then #9 with yellow foam.

M105 and wool pad followed by one pass with M105 on yellow 2.0 polishing foam pad and black foam 2.0 finishing foam pad. M105 and M205 can take care of nearly anything. :hifive:

It seems like M105 is the favorite. I've got to try it out. So far, I've used Menz Intensive Polish, 3M Rubbing Compound, and Meg Ultimate Compound and just in terms of cutting, the Ultimate Compound seemed to be the best. Gotta try out the M105 now. Thanks for the replies!

I have been an SIP guy for a while now but I had a car that had some deeper scratches in it that wouldn't come out. I have a little M105 from a sample and tired it and it took the scratch completly out! Finished down very nicely...it surprised me! I will be ordering some M105. Just goes to show that you can never have too many choices!!
