what is this?

Its not the clear coat.. the owner told me this was a second hand paint job. Anyways what you dont see is in the after pictures the white haze is still there, although faint it is still there. Anyone know what it is? it looks to be sitting under the paint.

That single stage paint I'm guessing that its oxadation. Either that or the primer under the paint is coming up. Its reall hard to tell with out being there. The hood looks great

thanks for the response, i'll take a good look at it next time to see if its primer. I know its not oxidation. i used a pc in one section to see how far i could push it. To no avail
