What is the forum's favorite swirl remover/polish?

Considering I will be using a PC7424, polishing pad/cutting pad. For general swirl cutting/polishing, what is the most user friendly polish?

I am interested in Z-PC Fusion, PB SSR1 and SSR2.5, Menzerna IP and FPII. Are there others that are better that I am not aware of?

I've used SSR 3, 2.5, 1, Z-PC, Menzerna IP/FPII and Optimum Polish and Compound. My favorites right now are the Optimum products mainly because they don't dust and have a really long working time, and because the polish alone can be used on most cars solo - just use a cutting pad to remove marks, and a polishing pad to get your finish LSP ready. The compound will take out heavy swirls on a cutting pad (although not quite as well as SSR3) but doesn't haze nearly as much, and looks awesome followed by the polish. Just my $0.02.

OP is my new go to polish. I have bought and used plenty of polishes in the past. OP out performs them all IMO.

Easy to use?

Mothers power polish. As aggresive as SSR2.5 with an orange pad, as mild as SFX-3 with a blue pad. Great performance, you can work it forever. The only minor downside is that some products produce higher gloss at finishing stages (Menzerna FP, Sonus SFX-3)

menzerna fpII, and PO85RD... but i have yet to try optimum. I have a black car (now)...but had a silver metallic b4. used SSR's in the past (Poorboy's) ... and they worked well for me too.

some have a ton of oil / lubricant them and can sometimes decieve your eye by covering the swirls rather that removing them... i always follow w / a 50/50 iso/h20 wipe to be sure they are gone... so i don't get a little "surprise" the next time I wash.

Currently it's SSR2.5 but I'm getting fed up with how much it dusts so am going to try the Optimum range. Also, whilst I think #83 sucks via PC, I really like it on the rotary.

As per Scott, I also really like #80.

I think Optimum Polish is the "flavor of the week" or should I say month :p

I've used it 2-3 times and have been pretty happy with it on my PC. I also like Poorboy's SSR2.5, just not thrilled about the dusting I get with it. I have a sample of PO85RD which I used on a part of my hood. Wasn't sure if I broke it all the way down or what but it wasn't much of an improvement over the Optimum I used previously.

Ya. I am interested to see how long the Optimum hype lasts. I've become a part of it but they really are great products. I think it's going to be tough to beat them in the future, the only real improvements I can think of would be to make it slightly less oily, and perhaps smell better. :)

the most to least aggressive and probably the best polish list, IMHO...

why thank you!... opt. is here to stay IMO. I use it w/ a rotary so idk about with a PC but it IS great stuff, IP being so dusty has really gotten to me...Menzerna P085RD is gonna be bought over the winter months...so ill see how I like that...

My favorites are IP, FPII, and 1zPP. I can get good results with Meguiars #83 and #80, but I think no other finshing polish works as nice as FPII.
