What is the formula?

In order for the speedometer to read "true" as the factory wheel & tire size, is there a formula that will allow me to find another wheel & tire combination?

For example the stock Honda Accord v6 Coupe comes from the factory with 16x7 rims with a 205/60 tire. I am considering an aftermarket rim 17x7 and a 215/45 tire. How can I know if I will get the same wheel height and therefore have a speedo that runs "true"?

The dealership say it will work, but that is just a kid behind the parts counter - I'm looking for the science behand the equivalencing.

Thanks to all for the input

Been there, done that. I want the PZero Nero M&S for the superior traction and handling, but they don't make it 215/60 x17 as TireRack recommends

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S is a close second, but their nearest size is 225/45-17

Also, try this link. You can enter two tire sizes, and it will give you the % difference in speedo speed. You should try to keep the speed difference under 3%.
