Hi Steve,

What is the correct way to apply Bold n Bright to my tires?

I applied it yesterday with a kitchen sponge and really liked the way it looked. I waited about 10 minutes and then tried to buff it with a rag so that it does not get launched onto the doors/fenders. When I did that it all came off on the rag.

Help.

Thanks
Rich

I would leave it on a bit longer and then go over it again with the sponge(rung out) this will pick up any extra loose product..leave itthat way if you want a high gloss, if you want a more satin/ matte look then buff it off...

For highest gloss...spray it on and just leave it, wiping off the wheel of course from any overspray...even out a while later with the sponge..

there is nt right or wrong way, it just depends on the gloss you want:)

For the tire's on my truck I spray 3 or so squirt's from the spray bottle onto a sponge and apply . I never wipe it off but I'm also applying with a sponge and love the way it look's . I must say this is one of the best tire product's I've ever used.

Can B&B be used as a dressing for inside the car and if so what would be the mix or would it be better straight?

Dilute it at least 3 parts BNB to 1 part water ...more water = more matte finish

i like to wait at least an hour before trying to buff off BnB, usually much longer mattering on what time of the day im doing it.

I use the Eagle one tire sponge to apply BnB. I just spray it onto the sponge and rub it on. Then just leave it. If I see any drips, I'll even it out later but that's only if I use too much. And I never get sling with BnB. I love this stuff!!

me too Zesty..I like to leave it on as long as possible...if I was doing a detail, I would sometimes do the tires at the beginning , and if you use Spray and Wipe to clean the car including the rims and tires, then there's no water dripping either:)

:yeah
I don't even use the sprayer. I just flip the top and pour some on the EO sponge and work it into the rubber

I mostly spray a little on an EO Tire Swipe and rub it into the tires.
For a more mat look (less product left on tires) I moisten a terry cloth and spray BnB on the cloth and wiper on the tires ... the result is a semi-gloss finish and absolutely no sling. This works really well on white cars.

For tires, I normally use a foam paint brush to apply BnB. I keep a supply of BnB in a squeeze bottle with a yorker cap. I'll use this to dispense a thin line of BNB to both sides of the paint brush, near the tip. Then, I simply paint the tires. For higher profile tires, a curved tire swipe may do the job a little faster. For lower profile tires, the paint brush works best for me.

If I want maximum gloss, I will leave the dressing unbuffed. Most of the time, I will opt to wipe off the tires about 15-20 minutes after application.

so to sum it up, there is no right or wrong way, just different ways to get different desired final looks:)

What kind of bristles are on those paint brushes? :doh I can read...no, honest I can :nono

Steve, thanks for assisting the disabled. :hah

I am telling you guys. Try TR on your tires. You will ove it and it lasts alot longer that B&B. Apply with a tire swipe leave it for 10min then wipe with a towel to a matte finish that gives the tire the OEM look. Nothing llike it

:lol Thanks Steve! FWIW, I prefer to use the 2" and 3" width foam brushes for tires. The 3" brushes cover a wider area, but the 2" brushes seem to hold up longer for some reason. :dunno The 1" width brushes are handy for applying dressing to exterior trim. I especially like to use them on louvered trim pieces around the hood cowl.
