I want to do a complete make over of my car. Its a black 97 Cobra. What do you guys recommend will be the best to get it looking the best that it can. I don't mind how many steps it will take..I just want it looking amazing! Thanks

How much $$ you want to put into this transformation?

With the products I have I would use the following (I am guessing severe swirls and marring).

PB's SSR3, 2, 1 or SSR3, #80 followed by VM topped with CMW and Souveran. Possibly throw in Pb polish if there is some mild oxidation.

THat is the paint. Wheels I have no idea what you have on so I wont recommend wheel acid.

Just a good cleaner like EO A2Z or PBs S&R.

Tires would get Pinnacle black onyx tire gel.

Wheel wells/trim would get CK's vinyl, leather, rubber treatment

Glass would get autoglyms glass polish via PC and polishing pad

Stainless exhaust would get CK metal polish with #0000 steel wool

Interior would be cleaned with Eimann Fabrik's Hi-intensity cleaner diluted 4:1

Carpet stains would be treated with Ultrapac

Carpet/upholstery shampooed with rug renew

Leather would get Zaino leather conditioner

headliner Prestone interior cleaner in the red can

clear plastic cleaned with megs plastic cleaner (forgot number)

ummmmm thats about all I can think of at the moment.

I'm in a similar boat as you--I have a 96 Black 911.

I've just order the Zaino products (http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc). In my case, I'll do the following for the paint:

1-2 washes with Dawn detergent

Clay using Clay Magic blue clay

1 wash with Zaino Z-7

1-3 coats of Zaino Z-5 (with ZFX) with Z-6 between each layer

1-3 coats of Zaino Z-2PRO (with ZFX) with Z-8 between each layer (can apply on everything)

1 coat of Z-8 on top

There will also be a slew of products for the interior, tires, etc. depending on what you have.

Translates into:

#1 - Poorboy's World Super Swirl Remover Heavy Duty Compound

#2 - Meguiar's Speed Glaze

#3 - ClearKote Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze

and I didn't get the last too
