Today I did a VERY NEGLECTED Volvo 850 BLACK.

Car has run over 200.000 miles (yes two-hunderd thousand), never been polished or any kind of wax on it.

"She" has seen every country in Europe, ran over several race tracks and more.

The car belongs to a friend of me who is busy in the "Mini challenge", a race event of Mini's all over Europe (and tracks in all European countries).

I washed as usual, then used 2 pieces of Sonus clay before I even could take my PC to start polishing.

Polishing sequence :

- Hood/Roof with whool pad and SSR3

- Orange cutting pad - OC - 6

- Orange cutting pad - OP/OC - 5

- Black and white polishing pads - SSR1 - 4

(Note that again, the SSR series dusted like hell, who can explain that ? Even Poorboys doens't send me an answer...)

- All trim with PB trim restorer x 3 (!!)

- Cleaned door jambs with Meg. APC

Nothing for the interior this time....

No wheels or tires cleaned as he will change them following week.

It took me 6 hours in total.

Here you see the difference between polishing (right) with "Orange cutting pad - OC - 6" and a untouched pice of panel (left), in between is a part with polish on...

After 1 polishing step... :

I finished off with Poorboys Nattu's wax x 2 and all windows with AG super resin polish.

The car is not perfect, but keeping in mind the Milage and the abuse that it has taken the last years, it looks fine to me...

WOW :bow That looks better than most cars out there with 1/10th of the mileage as that! What year is it? Almost looks brand new!

What can I say about the "wash technique" of my friend...

As he cruised trough all Europe, I suspect him of washing it at petrol stations with coin ups, truck wash brushes and so on...
