What is in the Florida Water? Concrete???

So enjoying an awesome week in Destin, FL. Did a traditional 2 bucket wash when I first got here from our drive from TN, then a waterless every other day to remove the film from the salty air.

Our cars a parked in a garage, there is a water drip coming from who knows where on the in-laws windshield. I tried glass cleaner and it would not budge. It is a super water spot. You can feel the deposit with your finger nail. I told them I will remove it once we get home.

I have never seen anything like it.

most of florida is pretty notorious for hard water. you definitely don't want water spots drying on paint in the hot sun here. they do make some inline water filter/softeners that would be nice in lieu of a whole house water softener Deluxe Clean Water Filter Kit , but I find using a cap of DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss in the soap bucket helps to condition the water some.

p.s. you can imagine what drinking this type of water will do to your kidneys over a lifetime. at a minimum, I always filter my drinking water. :o

Enjoy Fl. Take care of spot later. :D

Please make large contributions to our economy, and beware of gators and sharks. :D

Seriously, HAVE FUN

Steve, I am not touching the water!

Ron, I am definitely enjoying my time. Except driving at night an dodging sprinklers, as they seem to spew toxic waste.

BTW the coin op I used for my bucketwash gave no issues drying the car using he regular rinse setting.

Don't get me started on Florida sprinklers. I have to wipe down my front bumper and drivers side fender every night because of sprinklers.

FL sprinklers SUCK. IMHO they do more damage than love bugs.

The one thing that does more damage than those is Q-Tips. So if all you are doing is dodging sprinklers, be thankful. :D

Now I like this Florida water

.

Just glad the condo has a garage, only seen the infamous FL rain once this week.

Limestone aquifers that run throughout Florida could be a cause for the water hardness. Also beware of the sinkholes when the aquifers empty out.
