Hi all, In the process of getting my Vette ready for some upcomeing shows. The leather interior is in real good condition but looking to add to the overall appearance of the seats. Have been useing the Zaino leather products, seem ok but always searching for something better. Iam sure you know what I mean.
Anyway,any recommendations?
Thanks
Jimmy

Lexol makes some awesome cleaners and dressings for leather. Its actually ph balanced for the air and water you use to clean it.

Platinum Leather Conditioner has been my product of choice since last November. After using a sample, I had to buy some if only for the smell. Great leather smell, but not strong enough to be objectionable.
My Pontiac has coated leather so I really don't know if any leather conditioner helps all that much. The car will be three years old in July and the leather seems to be holding up fine so far.
For cleaner, I use Tanner's Preserve. I also used Tanner's Preserve conditioner until I switched to the Platinum.
It has been said that for coated leather, 303 is a good choice. Sure doesn't smell as good as the Platinum, though.
I do know that the smell isn't going to protect my leather, but I really don't think the Platinum people are going to put out a product that doesn't do the job it was intended for.

Hmmmm, what did I see on my desk today????

I just gave my approval for new labels to be printed.....

One of the labels is for a product called.........

Platinum Ultimate Leather Cleaner Gel.......

Finally we will have a matched set in the line and yes these products are safe for both coated and uncoated leather.
Absolutely safe for the stitching too.

Rick invented both of these products about 10 years ago.... time tested, tested by pros, tested by car enthusiasts and most certainly worthy to be called Platinum.

BTW.... the other two labels I gave my approval to are

Platinum Ultimate Wheel Cleaner Gel

and

Platinum Ultimate Tire Protectant Gel

should be available within 30 days!! :)

SH*T!!!! More stuff to order... It will never end! I currently use the Lexol combo, clean and condition, but now I will have to consider this new-fangled contraption that is all the rave.

I am also looking for some products for my leather but do not want to put 303 because it makes it kind of slipperry and not really soft. Will there be a sample offering that will include the Platinum leather cleaner and conditioner?

Just a quick note. I wouldn't recommend 303 on Leather, I'm a huge fan of 303 on the other stuff, but leather needs it's own special love and attention.

CompeteLook,

On uncoated leather, I agree with you. However, on coated leather, I believe a water based product is fine for general cleaning of leather.
