A quick detailer is exactly as it says...a spray that is used for quick details in between washes and waxes. Provided that the surface is not too dirty, muddy, or dusty, you should be able to use the quick detailer without much scratching, marring, etc. You do, of course, have to use a quality microfiber towel. The quick detailer should be good of the HD Proxy, since QD is not a "cleaner" in a sense. The QD is a lubricant, which allows you to wipe the surface without causing much damage to it. I have never used the PoorBoys QD, however, I would recommend investing in a bottle of ONR (Optimum No Rinse). It doubles as a car wash, as well as a quick detailer. In between regular washes, I use the ONR and two bucket method to quickly was the car and it works out very well. No rinsing is required. There are times, however, where I will use diluted ONR, which I have in a spray bottle and use it for quick touch ups. Also, QD's are also good as lubricants for claying.
