What is a good 1,2 combo for cleaning and dressing exterior trim????

There are so many. I always clean up with an APC at about 5:1 to 10:1 and finish up with 1 or 2 coats of VRT. 303 is also nice. If you want something with a bit more shine then I would suggest 1Z Plastik-Reinger, it cleans and dresses in one step. The trick is to apply with a dry applicator and then quickly buff off with a good MF, otherwise you'll get a sticky residue. Nice look if you use it right.
 
an all purpose cleaner/ bug remover prior to washing the car...agitate lightly with a damp terry towel. rinse with hose and begin to wash the car. follow with any trim protectant u want. my personal preference would be "PB TR" and as a bi-weekly upkeep any water based dressing.

re-applying "PB TR" every 4-6 week until the next detailing session

"poorboys trim restorer" cleans as well but a good apc cleanign prior really helps with the durabilty.
