I know a good amount of us like collecting all types of detailing products but what does everyone else do as a hobby that doesn't involve detailing? Do you collect stuff, build things, etc? Post up some pictures of your favorite hobbies, etc. I myself am in to building cars, shooting, and just started on collecting some watches. I just had a double hernia surgery so pulling the few guns out to grab some pics won't happen as I can't move all that well yet.

Here are a few older pictures I have of some past cars:

Trapshooting(or clay target shooting), bench shooting, hand gunning, reloading for everything, ATV riding, taking my new pride and joy to car shows, haven't done much in a while but am into remote control cars, trucks and even have a somewhat large RC boat. This time of the year all my hobbies above it is too cold for so eat, sleep, watch TV and movies.

Dean. :yay

I definitely agree with it being too cold for shooting. My fingers hurt just thinking about having to reload a magazine in this weather.

Woodworking

When I build furniture I by rough sawn lumber from the mill and stack it overhead in my shop. Once it's dried and stabilized, I rough-cut the pieces I need and plane it to thickness then cut to size....

Woodworking...

Wow Bobby! I knew you were a great detailer, but man that is quite amazing! A man will a lot of skills!

You're like Liam Neeson in Taken, well except skills in handiness.

Yeah, I know, bad joke... :walks out shamefully: :bonk:

When I'm not detailing I do fish. But my main hobby is truly enjoying much of what I post. I am fortunate to have a collector who invites me to truly enjoy the machines. I have been very fortunate to enjoy some very rare vehicles on the road and small rallies. Been recently doing videos of the rides for my son while my wife was pregnant for him to see.

Thanks for all the complements guys!! :yourrock

Woodworking

I was really introduced to woodworking in high school when I was a freshman in 1966.....yea, yea, I know I'm OLD....but there are worse alternatives!! :nana:

I've always enjoyed working with my hands and I've often said; no one does it better than me so I'm the chief cook and bottle washer when it comes to the homestead.

I've built a ton of furniture through the years, mostly for my wife and I but I have done work for others mostly family and close friends. Woodworking is part passion and part skill.

The Shed

My shed didn't start off that big but when I eyed up all the lawn and garden equipment, the detailing products and equipment, and of course my wife decided that she needed her own gardening section for all her stuff, it grew into what you see today...The main section of the shed is 12 X 16 and the smaller section is an additional 8 X 8, so it ended up at 250 square feet.

I built that shed in 2009 and kept very close track of costs. The entire shed cost me just under $3,000 to build including paint and stain. It's construction is solid and I didn't skimp, I wanted it to be strong and last. The base is pressure treated 2 X 6 with a double layer of 3/4" pressure treated plywood for the floor.

Cars & Detailing

Naturally being a guy, cars very quickly came into the picture and I started racing in the mid 70's at New England Dragway, Epping NH. With cars came mechanic work, bodywork, and painting, some custom lacquer jobs which I really enjoyed doing..Sort of like the 1st amendment; Freedom of Speech and Expression.....and or course detailing, we can't forget that..

Guns & Shooting

Shooting has always been another lifelong passion and precision shooting became an obsession much like detailing! I did most of my gun-smithing along with the help of some precision tool & die makers when I needed that sort of skill.

One activity that I got a kick out of was egg shooting....We would fixture 5 ordinary brown eggs in a row 6" apart for each shooter at 200, 300, and 400 yards and when the line officer said; "commence firing".

Each shooter had a spotter to count the number of shots fired to take out all 5 eggs and a score was given......fun, fun, fun!! :bigups You should see what a brown egg looks like at 400 yards....we sprayed them fluorescent orange!

Kubota Tractor

I bought this machine for around the yard, boys and toys, for grading my dirt driveway and doing just about anything I need it to do including plowing snow. It's still at the tractor place and they'll deliver it in the spring..got to see how many holes I can dig!!

Holy Cow Bobby.

You have some serious hobbies. That's awesome !!!!! I can tell you don't sit still very long.

For me.

Car Shows and playing with all my cars
Boating
Jetsking

So you wanted to be able to drive an 18 wheeler on it ???

(in case the need ever arose to detail on)

I build/upgrade or modify firearms of all types, lots of AR's, AK's and S&W Revolvers. I like to target shoot and used to compete though don't get as much time doing this as I once did. I like to reload as well. I like to read. From time to time I still get the request from old friends or people they've sent my way, to build performance engines and transmissions or put together custom mods (turbos/super chargers, etc.) for them. I like very much spending time with my better half. I truly married over my head it makes day to day living so much more enjoyable. She's supported me through many serious bone/joint related health issues and never complains. What a girl I have. We have a daughter that plays college basketball, we spend quite a bit of time following the team.
