I got my PC, but it was a 7428 which is a rotary. I got the receipt and took it back, I got my refund and have the 187.62$ sitting in front of me now as I type this. I was told by a member here of where to order it from, I thought it was something like www.westcoasttools but thats not it, it was going for 110$ from this site that I am refering to. Where should I order it from? Do I want the 7336, I think it is or is the 7424 fine too? Also I am getting the pad kit from properautocare.com as instructed so many times from members here, will this come with everything I need to put the 6 1/2" pads on it or do I need something else?

Now on to my other questions. Heres the scenario, I have two civics I am going to be working on, mine and gf's. Both are in good condition with my gfs having heavier swirls but still not terrible. Now I know you need to see the car to make calls like these but we will say both cars have moderate swirls because its not more then moderate and anything less will be cured by further recomendations as well. What I need to do is a paint cleaner and I want to get rid of swirls. I like zaino as the final step but it seems to tedious, lots of coats and what not, and I prefer a nice deep rich shine as opposed to my car looking wet if you know what I mean. So whats good at removing swirls? I need something abrasive, I dont want to cover them, I will be using the yellow pad I think for the swirl removal process. Is Klasse AIO good at removing them? I have been researching like crazy but I just cant get my bearings, someone point me in the right direction as to how you would suggest achieving a swirl free shine with a PC and what pads to use on what steps. PLEASE, I am in desperate need of help, I want to get down to detailing. Thanks for any help.

1st. Clay

2nd With a cutting pad (e.g. Meguiars W7006 burgundy pad). Either Meguiars Dual Action Cleaner Polish or 3M Finesse It II or Perfect III Machine Glaze.

3rd With a W8006 (yellow) polishing pad. I'd hit it with some Meguiars Swirl Free Polish or No.9 v2.0 or 3M SMR.

4th. Top off with BlackFire2 (easy application, good results) if you're not into Zaino. Hand application or with a W9006 Finishing Pad.

AIO will probably not help you out if you are in the moderate swirl state. However, if you have AIO and SG. After Step 2, go ahead and use the AIO and SG from Klasse.

For moderate swirls, you'll need a fine compound and possibly a few reapplications but the swirls should be removed nicely. That's where the DACP comes in. The AIO as nice as it seems to be, probably won't do much for you early on in the steps. Granted, I've never used AIO.

I bought mine from coastool too! Great price and service it came with the right counter weight and velcro backing plate. Plus I am in NY so it came the very next day UPS!!!

Buy the Coastal Tool package, and the CMA kit will take care of everything else.

AIO has never been known for its swirl removal ability, so I'd use my judgement and use either DACP (or a fine cut cleaner), or a proper swirl remover first, depending on how bad the swirls are.

Well for a paint cleaner I think I am going with the P21S paint cleansing lotion, and I will go with the a swirl remover after this. What I need to know is this. Should I use the white pad for the paint cleanser and the yellow for the swirl remover, what order, paint cleaner first or swirl remover first? I was going to go with the 3M SMR but I dont know if it has any abrasive qualities to remove the swirls. Does it? Should I go with the 3M fine cut compound instead or is that too much for minor swirls? I was going to finish it with either zaino or klasse. What do you guys think?

If you're not sure, start off mild by default. That's the general rule. Try the swirl remover first, and if that doesn't get you anywhere move up to the fine cut.

Remember the best way to look at prep products is to think about what's in it, not the name. The P21S has the mildest polishing action (short of a pure glaze) so that should be used last.
