What happened to Long Haul Polish?

I was at Big Lots yesterday looking through their selection of car care products. I was suprised to see Long Haul polish/wax, tire sealant for $3 a bottle. I used this stuff about a year ago and liked it and paid like $7 a bottle. Has this stuff gone off the market?

it's looks as long haul is no longer. i tried calling the 866 number and e-mailing them only to have the phone number be disconnected and have the e-mail sent back to me.... the two products i really like from them are the bug degreaser and truck gloss (i stocked up). as scottwax pointed out, they had bad marketing...

Pep Boys is closing their stuff out too. I'm going to snag some QD at $5 a bottle (28 oz) and another bottle of the polish/wax for $5. Decent OTC stuff.

scott, go to big lots and get the qd as it's only $3 there...

My Pep Boys was clearing Long Haul out for $2 a bottle. I stocked up.

Truck Polish and Wax--above average one step

Truck degreaser-- not super powerful, maybe a good thing, and it has a non-offensive odor

Truck Gloss-- this stuff is really good, imho much better than Megs or Mothers

At these prices you can't go wrong.

I just picked up 3 bottles of the degreaser @ $3 each, at Big Lots. I stood there and debated the polish/wax for a long time - they had a bunch - but finally passed since I'm completely unfamiliar with it. I'm interested though - Scottwax, if you see this, can you compare it to, say, ColorX? LH is a one-step, right? Thanks.

I was in Pep Boys today and they still have the entire Long Haul line at full price. I was in RS Strauss and it seems they are cleaning out the LH stuff. The QD was on sale for $4. The other products didn't seem to be on sale (ie. Cleaner Wax/Polish was $8)

Got it! 2 spray gloss, 2 tire dressings (I'll use this for wheel wells and engines), 1 degreaser, those were all $3, one polish was $5. I got thinking, even if I only use half of what I got, it's still saving money and the Spray gloss stuff will be good and cheap to give small bottles out to my families' cars I do for their upkeep.

I used the gloss a little and seemed to work and look just fine!

LH is a one step, however, I have never really used ColorX so I can't tell you how it compares.

I think it is supposed to be darn near identical to Race Glaze, if that helps.

(I haven't tried it.)

I liked the looks of LH Polish/Wax on the Caravan I have.

I did not like the smell and fact that it discolors your pads.

For the $5 I paid earlier this year for it, it is a nice product.

Did a good job of cleaning the paint up and giving it a nice shine.

Protection seemed to hold up for the month I left it alone.

I've applied AW since then after a couple wash's with no problems.

Since it's my wifes daily driver, I cannot comment on how well it's still beading water.

Surface seems slick for the first month and still slick even after the couple of applications of AW after washing.

LH is easy to apply and a good paint cleaner.

I used it on the glass and hard plastic exterior trim and it worked well.

FYI:

SynWax is a little harder to apply for me IMO, but just as easy to remove if not easier.

Synwax smells really nice. Cannot comment on it's cleaning ability.

For the price, try it....

Never used Race Glaze.

Reek, good comments, I appreciate it. I'll try it and post my results. It's my fonacee's Caravan too! She drives it 100 miles a day, easily. It is so hard to keep up with. I'll try this tonight. My plan is in a week to strip it anyway and start layering up some sealants and see if that helpds keep the maintenace down on it.
