What exactly is "final buffing"?

Player Appreciate!
Been sorting through some towels to buy and see some mentioned as good for "final buffing"?

What is Final Buffing anyhow? If I am doing a wash, after rinse it's just a WW... or if I am removing LSP just a regular MF.

Am I missing out on a pillar of detail perfection by not doing a "final buffing?"

Are you talking about using a better MF towel for final buffing? Or when your done buffing going over the whole car with a fresh MF towel. If its the latter Ive found it makes a big difference.

The latter. I always figured that after removing all the water or the LSP... that was as good as it gets.

Im not sure it will make a huge difference after drying water. But it helps in a few ways after wax 1. you might have missed something, and 2. it gets rid of any smearing(depending on the wax you used). maybe thats what your looking for?

some towels have more bite than others. You want that grip for removing waxes or for cleaning.

When the car is CLEAN and all the polishes and sealants have been applied you're done with 'grip'.

You then want a towel that just glides over the paint to bring out the maximum reflection. this what they mean by final buffing.

I've never thought it a good practice to buff with polishing towels. Its over kill. Like brusing your teeth with a hair brush.
